
Leaving Poiana Stampei, hikers also leave Bucovina behind. The trail continues toward Lunca Ilvei, already in Bistrița-Năsăud county, at the foothills of the Rodna mountains. Here begins the Highlands region, with a length of 210 km. Via Transilvanica passes through the mountains and shows how the harshness of the land has taught people to adapt to both nature and changing times.
