Putna - Sucevița (Varianta B)

This route is longer and more challenging than Option A, but ideal for sunny days, as it runs almost entirely through the cool, shaded forests of Bucovina. The trail starts at Putna Monastery, passes by Daniil Sihastru’s Hermitage, and continues along forest paths and tracks, through Poiana Secării and La Mese. After a series of ascents and descents, hikers are rewarded with a spectacular panoramic view of Sucevița and its fortified monastery from Furcoi Hill. The final descent is steep and requires extra caution, especially after rain, when the paths can become slippery.
