Leaving Dorolea, drive on asphalt for a few kilometers, passing village houses and a monastery under construction. After 2 km, cross the road and turn left on a dusty road, passing by the Dorolea Lake, which remains on the right. The road climbs gently up a hill, offering spectacular views of the Bârgăului Valley and the Rodnei Mountains. After passing through the forest edge, the trail reaches a plateau, from where it climbs 700 m to the Poiana with the Cocoș Trail, an ideal place for winter sports and mountain biking. The descent on an off-road biking trail is steep and dangerous, and trekking poles are recommended. After 500m, the trail reaches a fence that leads to the Bistrița Lions Club's Pear Tree Park. It then descends to the multi-purpose hall and, after 4 km, you reach the center of Bistrița, a place full of attractions for hikers.
