If you follow option A, go straight ahead on asphalt until you reach the signpost to the left, where you pass a Jehovah's Witnesses building and enter a dirt road, crossing a wooden bridge over the Ilva stream. The road climbs gently through the forest, offering spectacular views of the Ilva Plain and the Rodna Mountains. Following the markers, you reach a hill with a cross at the top and the kilometer stone with holes in it, a place where hikers can leave a padlock. The trail continues along the hillside, past farms until you reach Poiana Cătunenilor, where you can ask the locals for water. After a spring at km 9 and another one at km 10, the paved road continues to Ciosa, crossing forests and hills. After another six kilometers, you reach Piatra Fântânele, where you'll find wells and several farms. At the end of the day, you reach the Iron Cross monument and, after another 300 meters, Tășuleasa Social, where the trail ends.
