At the main street intersection, turn right and cross a small park, then cross the Vama Bridge. The trail follows signs towards UCM Reșița, passing by it, and continues on an asphalt road. After several flights of stairs, the trail enters a muddy dirt road, winding through forests and meadows with gentle ascents and descents. The trail lies on the edge of the Semenic Mountains National Park, near a virgin beech forest reserve. After 3 km of easy ascent, the trail reaches a contour line and continues for another 1.5 km along the ridge, opening up to a meadow with views of Cuptoare and Secu. This area, rich in natural wonders like caves, springs, and mysterious ruins, offers a unique sensory experience. After 3 more km, the trail reaches a road leading into the village of Iabalcea, a Croatian settlement with fascinating local stories.
