This stage begins by crossing the village of Șinca Nouă before entering a long forest road that climbs gently through the woods for nearly nine kilometers. The shade of the trees makes this section pleasant even on hot days. The trail then descends toward the village of Paltin, passing homes and continuing again into the forest. As the route climbs higher, the forest gradually opens into wide mountain meadows dotted with scattered homesteads. The landscape expands and the striking silhouette of the Piatra Craiului Mountains appears in the distance. The trail continues along gentle ridges, through alpine pastures and shepherd shelters. After a short stretch of asphalt, hikers face a steep but brief climb before reaching a ridge with spectacular mountain views. From here, the trail descends past mountain cabins and rural homes until it reaches the peaceful village of Poiana Mărului, nestled at the foot of the Perșani Mountains.
