The trail starts from Măgureni, gradually ascending on a forest road to 1,300 m, then descending gently to 1,000 m. The forest changes constantly, from young trees to older ones, with some signs of logging. The path becomes rockier and more mysterious, with remnants of an ancient Roman road. The descent becomes steeper, leading to a barrier that closes the forest road and leads to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Sarmizegetusa Regia. After visiting the site, hikers return to the parking lot and take the asphalt road left, passing by Pârâul Alb. Accommodation with a "Dacian" theme can be found nearby.
