The trail starts at Geopark Platoul Mehedinți in Cireșu, ascending gently on asphalt and continuing on a cart track through a young forest. Hikers can visit Gaura lui Ciocârdie or a scenic viewpoint with stunning mountain views. Climbing to "La Varniță," the trail continues through a forest road to Marga, where seasonal fruits can be found. After passing through the village, it continues on asphalt to Godeanu and Păunești, where water is available. Near Păunești is the Grădețului Fortress, and the trail descends to Balotești, where Mănăstirea Schitul Topolniței is located. The hike ends here, with a long stretch of asphalt leading to Drobeta-Turnu Severin.
