Saschiz - Șapartoc

The starting point is the fortified church in the center of Saschiz, next to the E60 road. The trail follows a gravel path, leaving the village and heading uphill towards Saschiz Fortress. After about a kilometer and a half, the fortress is reached, offering a great view for a break. The path then narrows into a forest trail, leading to a meadow with a sheepfold on the right. The trail enters a stunning pine forest and descends toward Daia, where wildlife tracks may be found. After 500 meters, the path reaches a side road leading to Vulcan. Continuing toward Șapartoc, the trail passes through forest areas, arriving at an intersection with an abandoned church. Accommodation is available in Șapartoc.
