The Via Transilvanica team's efforts to look after almost 1,400 km of the route are not enough without local people wanting to get involved in the community where they live or work. Trail maintenance is an ongoing activity, which is why such individuals, associations or companies can take care of Via Transilvanica by becoming an "adoptive parent for kilometers", or as we like to say "road parent".
Road parents are responsible for the maintenance of a number of kilometers, meaning: checking the route and infrastructure, remarking, replacing VT broken signal posts, greening or participating in various activities that take place on Via Transilvanica in the vicinity of the adopted kilometers.
